Abstract
Remote sensing has a promising career in the urban scene. This paper describes several applications of remote sensing for urban research and operations. The paper also describes an automatic data analyzer, which provides the fast analysis of stationary and moving objects in (aerial) photographs and with modification in tapes required for frequent and regular monitoring by remote sensing. The uses suggested here include preventing traffic jams, detecting infrastructure faults, deficient heating systems, other building code violations, and abandoned housing, and performing building censuses. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
