Abstract
The article reviews arguments for and against compulsory arbitration and describes several proposed improvements to the process. The authors conclude that one of the proposals would provide a viable way of settling collective bargaining impasses and that compulsory arbitration in the public sector would be beneficial. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
