Abstract
The authors discuss the concepts of distributive and integrative bargaining noted by Walton and McKersie from three perspectives: a contrast between the two approaches exhibited during a simulation of a bargaining situation; the experience of two school districts that changed from a distributive toward an integrative mode; and selected studies from which lessons can be drawn to clarify and promote a movement toward the integrative mode of bargaining. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
