Abstract

This article reports upon a cross-cultural study of secondary school teachers in the State of Washington and Sweden. Specifically, this study concerns the interrelationship of teacher attitudes regarding job satisfaction, professionalism, and collective negotiations. The results show: 1. interrelationships among attitudinal variables, 2. compatibility between job satisfaction or professionalism and support for collective negotiations, and 3. similarities and differences among the respondents from the two nations in terms of their responses to individual questions.
