Abstract

This paper analyzes one of the possible avenues open to the courts when public strikes are illegal and no compulsory arbitration is mandated by law. A community college faculty strike is analyzed where a master arbitrator was used by the local court. While the master arbitrator was effective in this instance, problems and alternative restricting continued use of arbitrators are examined.
